Two arrested with 200 gram MD drugs in Jaora
Indore: Jaora city police of Ratlam district arrested two persons and seized 200 gram MD drugs and a car from them.Ratlam SP Amit Kumar said that acting on a tip-off, the police carried out the operation on Tuesday night in front of Patel Hotel on Mhow-Neemuch four-lane road in Jaora.The arrested individuals were identified as 51-year-old Kamlesh Jain, a resident of Shastri Nagar, Ratlam, and 27-year-old Sabir Khan, a resident of Dat Ki Pul, Ratlam. The police recovered a plastic packet containing 200 gram MD drugs worth Rs 20 lakh and a white car, valued at approximately Rs 7 lakh from their possession.During interrogation, the accused revealed that the seized drugs were meant to be delivered to Sunil Surya, a resident of Shastri Nagar, Ratlam. Surya is currently absconding, and preliminary information suggests he has multiple criminal cases registered against him.
A case was registered at Javra Police Station under sections 8/22 and 29 of the NDPS Act against the duo. Authorities recovered approximately 22.19 gram brown sugar, along with a motorcycle, with the total seized items valued at nearly Rs 3 lakh.The arrested individuals were identified as 32-year-old Virendra Dayal alias Viru, a resident of Raja Bagh Colony, Bhanwarkuan, who runs a travel business, and 20-year-old Sachin Singh Thakur alias Golu, a sweetmaker from Sugandha Nagar, Indore. Sachin is a repeat offender, with three cases under the NDPS and Excise Acts registered against him.Initial interrogation revealed that the duo sourced narcotics from Rajasthan at low prices and sold them at higher rates to addicts in Indore. Both confessed to being addicted to drugs themselves and admitted that the trade was driven by their dependency.A case was registered at the Crime Branch police station under sections 8/21 of the NDPS Act.
