“Feels like death” — Jaylen Brown makes his true feelings known after playoff elimination against New York Knicks

What could be worse for the Boston Celtics star Jaylen Brown than losing to the New York Knicks? On top of the devastating 119-81 Friday night Game 6 loss, the Celtics were eliminated by the Knicks at Madison Square Garden. Brown found it utterly disturbing as he was quick to compare their loss to the Knicks to death. After the game, Brown gave his honest thoughts on the Celtics' loss as they had to give up their championship dream.The Boston Celtics’ pursuit of back-to-back NBA titles came to a crushing halt on Friday night, as the team suffered a blowout loss to the New York Knicks in Game 6 of the Eastern Conference semifinals.Jaylen Brown didn’t sugarcoat how he felt after the loss, his heartbreak was clearly visible in his eyes. “Losing to the Knicks feels like death,” he admitted candidly. “But, I was always taught that there's life after death. So, we'll get ready for whatever's next, whatever's next in the journey I'll be ready for.”Brown led the Celtics with 20 points and six assists in Game 6, doing everything he could to keep the team alive. Without Jayson Tatum, who recently had a devastating Achilles rupture in Game 4, the Celtics looked lost. While they showed grit in Game 5 to force a return to Madison Square Garden, Game 6 was a different story. The Knicks dominated from the tip-off.For the Knicks, the victory marked their first Eastern Conference Finals appearance in 25 years, a milestone celebrated by both the team and their raucous fanbase. Jalen Brunson and OG Anunoby led a balanced Knicks offense with 23 points each, while six players scored in double digits. The celebration spilled into the streets of New York. Celebrities like Timothée Chalamet, Bad Bunny, Spike Lee, Ben Stiller, and Lenny Kravitz were seen in attendance, and fans climbed light poles and danced outside Penn Station. Meanwhile, Brown tried to focus on the future, choosing hope over heartbreak. “I’m proud of our group. We fought. We (were) in a lot of battles... This journey is not the end, it’s not the end for me. I’m looking forward to coming back stronger.”He added, “I know Boston... it looks gloomy right now, obviously, with JT being out and... kind of the end of the year. But there's a lot to look forward to. And I want the city to feel excited about that.
