xQc Announces his Marvel Rivals Invitational Tournament, May 9th ($250,000 Prize Pool)

xQc, one of the most-watched streamers for over five years, has officially confirmed the upcoming Marvel Rivals xQc Invitational tournament on his April 20 livestream. The tournament is scheduled for May 9, 2025. With a prize pool of $250,000, the tournament is a significant milestone for the future of Marvel Rivals esports. The prize pool money has been collectively organized by xQc and Marvel Rivals. The popular streamer expressed his excitement to be able to host his own tournament for the first time ever. This is what xQc said;
“Chat, I’ve been working on this for months now, and finally I can kind of, like, announce it. Chat, May 9, put it on your schedule: xQc Marvel [Rivals] Invitational, $250k prize pool.
“I’m putting in a lot of my money in the prize pool, and Marvel is also in the prize pool. Mega tournament. Massive things. xQc Invitational. Real! Actually, real and true, it’s finally happening. I’ll be able to host my own tournament for the first time in forever. So, that’s happening 100%, locked in.”
While the precise tournament details and participants are yet to be announced, xQc did reveal that the tournament will feature other streamers, content creators, and possibly professional players. He is looking forward to hosting the tournament, casting it, and even participating as a player in one of the teams. Here’s what he said:
“Yeah, it’s going to be a bunch of, like, other streamers and other people, and I’m running it. I’m running the show this time.
“I hope I can make it a good, balanced, and cool event. And I might play in it and cast it. I might do a kind of dual production thing where, like, I’m trying to win as well. And if I’m out or not, I can cast the other games as well. So, yeah, I’m just kind of doing both.”

Future of Marvel Rivals esports

Marvel Rivals developers, NetEase Games, have earlier asserted the importance of having a healthy competitive esports scene for Marvel Rivals. With the conclusion of two major tournaments, the Marvel Rivals Invitational 2025 and Marvel Rivals Championship, the fans weren’t expecting another Marvel Rivals tournament to be organized anytime soon.
However, the announcement of Marvel Rivals xQc Invitational has taken the community by surprise and is expected to bring in a lot of traffic, owing to the participation of popular streamers and content creators. This will further establish the esports scene of Marvel Rivals and establish Marvel Rivals as one of the biggest games in recent times.
