On the occasion of Earth Day 2025 approaches, television stars are using their voice and influence to spotlight the urgency of environmental preservation. Artists Karuna Pandey, Vrihi Kodvara, Pariva Pranati, and Aditya Redij spoke exclusively about their eco-conscious habits, emotional responses to recent deforestation incidents, and how they plan to give back to nature reminding fans that change begins with awareness and small actions.
Pariva Pranati, who plays Vandana in Wagle Ki Duniya, expressed deep anguish over the felling of trees in both Mumbai’s Aarey forest and Hyderabad’s Kancha Gachibowli region. "It was heart-wrenching for me to see the glorious trees that have stood in Aarey for long being slaughtered,” she said. “I was equally disturbed to hear the cries of peafowls and animals during the attack on the green cover in Hyderabad. Nature is the living god we must realise this now more than ever. A single tree destroyed is an ecosystem destroyed."
She emphasized that while development is necessary, it must not come at the cost of nature. “Sustainable development must go hand-in-hand with forest protection. On this Earth Day, let’s pledge to protect and celebrate our forests, our planet depends on it.”
She further added, "As a mother, an actor, and a citizen, I believe it’s our responsibility to leave behind a greener, healthier planet for the next generation.
Earth Day is a beautiful reminder that every small step counts, whether it's reducing waste, conserving water, or simply planting a tree. Change begins at home, and we all have the power to make a difference."
Karuna Pandey, who plays Pushpa in Pushpa Impossible, said, "The celebration of Earth Day is important to raise awareness of the rapidly rising levels of pollution, climate change, and other issues that contribute to damaging the environment and threatening the survival of our planet."
She added, "After COVID-19, I feel we are aware of the importance of our environment. The simplest way to protect the Earth and our environment is to reduce, reuse, and recycle. We need to adopt sustainable ways to consume things and follow the three R's to conserve natural resources and landfill space."
Vrihi Kodvara, who plays the role of Swara in Pushpa Impossible, said, "I love plants, trees, and butterflies! My mom says we should treat Earth like our home, so I try to keep it clean and never waste water. On Earth Day, I want everyone to plant one tree and promise to take care of nature every day."

Aditya Redij, who plays the role of Krishnadevraya in Tenali Rama, said, "As someone portraying a wise and just ruler like Krishnadevraya, I’m constantly reminded of how deeply our ancestors respected nature. In today’s world, we must revive that sense of balance and responsibility. Earth Day isn't just a date, it's a call to action. Let’s choose sustainability not just for ourselves, but for the generations to come."
