Following news of actor and politician Govinda accidentally shooting himself in the leg, a photograph of the alleged bullet has since gone viral.
Various social media handles have posted a picture of a bloody 9mm bullet, believed to have been the one taken out of the actor's leg. The viral posts come at a time when the doctors confirmed that the actor is currently in a stable condition after under emergency surgery at a city hospital.

Dr Ramesh Agarwal, who led the surgical team, confirmed to reporters, "The bullet was stuck, but we successfully removed it during surgery. He was bleeding when he arrived but stabilized after treatment."
The doctor further revealed that the actor received 8-10 stitches, and after several hours in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), he is now recuperating and expected to be discharged soon.
In the early hours of Tuesday morning, the Bollywood star narrowly escaped a more serious fate when his personal revolver accidentally discharged a round, thus injuring him in the leg. The 60-year-old actor was reportedly preparing to catch a flight to Kolkata for a show when, while placing the firearm in a cupboard.


Govinda's manager, Shashi Sinha, explained that the licensed revolver slipped from the actor's hands while he was putting it away, accidentally firing and injuring him.
"He’s lucky to have survived," his brother, Kirti Kumar, remarked. "It was a strange accident, but we’re relieved that he received timely medical attention."
In an audio message to his fans, Govinda sounded optimistic, thanking everyone for their prayers and the medical team for their swift response. "With the blessings of my fans, my parents, and God, I am doing better now," he said. "The bullet has been removed, and I thank Dr Agarwal and all of you for your prayers."

As Govinda continues to recuperate, Mumbai Police have seized the revolver for further investigation. While no one has lodged any complaint in this matter, the police added that an investigation had begun with a police team reaching Govinda's home to conduct a panchnama.
The licensed revolver, which accidentally went off, has been seized by the officials for further probe, an official confirmed. Meanwhile, the crime branch officials also visited the actor at the hospital.
