The filmmaker strongly condemned the terrorist attack and highlighted his worry about militants questioning tourists’ religion prior to shooting them. In a conversation with CNN-News18, he described the incident as a deliberate act of targeted killing.
Details of the Pahalgam Attack
A group of tourists in Pahalgam was attacked by Lashkar-linked terrorists on Tuesday afternoon. Tragically, over 27 people have been reported dead. Witnesses informed security forces that two to three individuals, dressed in military attire, indiscriminately shot at tourists who were enjoying horseback rides in the Baisaran Meadows of Pahalgam.
Responsibility and Security Response
The Resistance Front (TRF), an offshoot of Lashkar, claimed responsibility for the assault. Security forces quickly arrived at the scene, initiating a large-scale anti-terrorist operation to capture the attackers. Videos capturing the aftermath of the attack depicted motionless and bloodied individuals on the ground, with women desperately searching for their family members.

Meanwhile, Vivek Agnihotri is now set for a new movie called 'The Delhi Files'. It will be the last part of his Files trilogy, after 'The Tashkent Files' and 'The Kashmir Files'. The first part, called 'Bengal Chapter', will come out on Independence Day 2025.
