NEW DELHI: After conducting an exhaustive preliminary enquiry, Anti-Corruption Branch (ACB) has registered a case against former deputy CM Manish Sisodia and ex-minister Satyendar Jain, alleging corruption in the construction of classrooms. The investigation allegedly reveals a scam of Rs 2,000 crore in the construction of over 12,000 classrooms during AAP govt's tenure in Delhi.

The ACB has invoked the Prevention of Corruption Act against the accused besides IPC sections 409 and 120B pertaining to criminal breach of trust by a public servant and hatching a criminal conspiracy.

ACB chief, joint commissioner Madhur Verma said that a comprehensive investigation was under way to unearth the conspiracy and fix the role and culpability of the accused ministers besides 'known/unknown govt officials and contractors'.
